A church in Fairfax City

New Hope is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), a denomination that was founded in 1973. The PCA now includes over 1,700 churches throughout the US and Canada.

New Hope was founded in 1990 by a group of families belonging to McLean Presbyterian Church who wanted to start a PCA congregation in the City of Fairfax. Dave Coffin was called to serve as New Hope’s first Pastor, and Paul Wolfe joined him as an Associate Pastor in 2000. At the beginning of 2018 Paul became Senior Pastor and Dave assumed a new Assistant Pastor role. (You can learn more about Paul and Dave at our "Pastors" page.)

A place to meet

For over 20 years our church has met in the third floor meeting hall of Fire Station #3 on University Drive in Fairfax, a convenient and central location in the City. We’re grateful to God for providing us a place to meet for all sorts of gatherings, everything from our Sunday morning worship services to occasional game nights, Bible studies, and hymn sings.
