firestationbackWhether you’ve been a follower of Jesus all your life, or you’re an interested observer who’d like to know more about Christianity—or anywhere in between—we’d be glad to have you join us for our services on Sunday. Our doors are wide open to the committed and the curious.

Sunday morning

New Hope meets for worship on Sunday mornings at 9:30 at Fire Station #3 in the City of Fairfax. Our service runs from 9:30 to 11:00. We sing a mix of historic and contemporary hymns and songs accompanied by piano, guitar, and violin, and we celebrate the Lord’s Supper each Sunday. When our service is over we break for refreshments until 11:30, and then we take our seats again for a discussion of that morning’s sermon led by the Pastor. This gives everybody a chance to ask questions and make observations about what we’ve heard from God's Word and how it ought to shape our lives. If you’d like to see what a New Hope worship service looks like on paper, here's one of our recent worship bulletins.

Nursery and kids' classes
Throughout the morning, a nursery located just off the main hall and staffed by New Hope members is available for little ones. During the sermon discussion, classes are provided for children of various ages in rooms around the main hall, led by church officers.

Church lunch
On the first Sunday of each month, we have a church lunch immediately following the sermon discussion. If you’re visiting with us, stay and join us. There’s always plenty of food to go around!

Sunday evening

We meet again on Sunday evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 (also at the Fire Station) for a further time of singing and teaching to close the day. Our Sunday evening teaching topics run the gamut: in the past we've covered everything from the Bible book of Colossians to John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress to the history of Christianity in India.

Monthly breakfasts

On the second Saturday of each month the men of the church get together for breakfast, sharing a good meal to start the day and taking time to encourage and pray for one another in the Lord. On the third Saturday the women do the same.

Winter weather

If harsh winter weather ever comes our way and you're wondering whether we're meeting, visit the home page of our website. If we've canceled our services, we'll post a notice there that says so.
